Grundfos BME - BMET

Grundfos BME are multistage submersible pumps integrated in a stainless steel jacket. It is powered by a standard electric motor via a V-belt pulley. Belt pulley bearing has automatic lubrication and cooling system.
The integrated thrust bearing absorbs the axial thrust from the pump.

BMET modules, which are the result of combining the BME module with a second Grundfos submersible pump, are powered by a Pelton turbine and connected in series with the first pump. The modules are designed for reverse osmosis systems where the energy from the high pressure is recovered by the turbine. Thus, up to 34% energy savings are achieved when compared to conventional systems.
